An artwork from the Shamans of the World collection - inspired by the ancient Peruvian culture of Chavín de Huántar. The psychedelic properties of the San Pedro cactus may have been what kick-started the complex Chavín civilization. Native to the Andean mountain range of South America, San Pedro (Saint Peter) cactus is so called because it is said to be the key that opens the gates of heaven. The plant has the potential to catalyze deep healing at many levels, both for individuals and societies. The tattoo is the famous Raimondi stele. Ring and jewel on the head is inspired by the nailed head of the Chavin culture. The golden amulet on the chest and above the head is the god Viracocha, who is the great creator deity in the pre-Inca and Inca mythology in the Andes region of South America. About Filip Zaruba
Filip Zaruba is one of the pioneers of 3D animation in the Czech Republic. He began experimenting with it as early as in 1993; he created his first 3D television jingles and commercials for the Czech Television at the mere age of 18. Having graduated from the Film school of Zlin, he decided to engage in this field in a really professional manner. He collaborated on a variety of commercials for big international corporate clients, films and music videos as cinematographer, editor, animator and visual effects creator. He also used to give lectures on 3D graphics and animation at the multimedia department of the Brno University of Technology and University of Ostrava.
